corn bread oven Cariaco

bread oven is a dry biscuit something very special toast in the plains region in Venezuela is not popular in the city people as their production is clearly homemade handmade in small quantities, their sale is in local bakeries of villages closer or tables at the main entrance of some homes for some income support money home.

Saying oven bread first thing you may think a person who does not know these threads or style of cookie is that it is a bread baked in the oven, bread is NOT a thread made from corn and lard Cariaco warm liquid.

Cariaco Corn is going to extinction and it's really sad this situation, have stopped production and Cariaco plant corn and therefore is happening the disappearance of a wonderful Venezuelan corn.

bread is baked in ovens made mostly of wood and is an aromatic thread with ground cloves and anise, combined with pasteboard Venezuela (The newsprint is the juice of sugar cane evaporated by cooking, a traditional food in many tropical regions that has been virtually displaced by the industrially refined sugar or sucrose and finally transformed into bars or panels).

baked bread can be made with barley is a very old wheat to make bread which food and many more. It also is made with barley Canarian gofio, click here for the recipe,

bread really
furnace is only made with corn Cariaco, but right now I have not in my hands and the option of developing barley is very good in taste and texture, is very similar to baking bread.

Recipe 1 cup roasted and ground barley
3 tablespoons self-rising wheat flour 3 tablespoons

cornstarch 3 tablespoons butter (the recipe is correct with warm lard and liquid)
Half cup of brown sugar or sugar cane, raw sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon or clove powder 1 egg mixed species
Combine all the ingredients and knead well about 10 minutes, making sticks and join the ends . Bake at 170 degrees for 11 minutes in hot oven.

This recipe is a real gem, as it is possible that our culture is evaporating Venezuelan and forgetting about, one way or another I want to rescue my culture and my experiences so that others can know the true native Venezuelan bakery.

Special Note: corn Cariaco If someone has not let losing tradition and cooperatives to be able to rescue this wonderful corn endangered. Alsop Carolina
